Let’s Take a Closer Look at the New Porsche Cayenne

Since its debut in 2002; the Porsche Cayenne became a smash success:

"We wanted to build the first sports car in the SUV segment," said Michael Steiner, Porsche’s head of research and development. That being said, the first-generation Porsche Cayenne sold more than 270,000 units. Seven years later, the lineup introduced hybrid and plug-in hybrid versions, which were also a big hit. And we cannot forget about the high-performance Turbo S, which became a benchmark for the luxury SUV segment.

What’s New for the Porsche Cayenne?

Even though the Cayenne is on the larger side, it’s pretty quick. In fact, the chassis in the new Cayenne will be 20% more rigid than previous models, which makes for a sharper driving experience. Under the hood, there will be three engines available. There will be a turbocharged V6, which pumps out 335bhp. The twin-turbocharged in the Cayenne S will deliver 434bhp. And finally, Cayenne Turbo will come with a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8, producing a heart-pumping 540bhp.

McKenna Porsche offers several engines and models for the Porsche Cayenne. It is even offered in hybrid and plug-in versions for those who want to spend more time on the roads and less time at the gas pump.
